Field Trip and Excursion

At IPS, we firmly believe that learning outside and beyond the classroom leaves a positive and lasting impact on students’ education.

School trips play a vital role in the IPS Curriculum. By having field trips and excursions, children’s knowledge of the topics which are being taught in the classroom are reinforced and enhanced. It offers them real-world learning experience and it gives them an opportunity to connect and understand the concepts in-depth by engaging in hands-on activities or practical approaches. Research studies suggest that outdoor experiential learning provides better retention of information. Both visual and practical experiences aid in reinforcing what students learned in the class. Learning outdoors also increases students’ engagement, develops their high-level thinking skills, critical analysis and motivates them to learn further with confidence.

Field trips and excursions are the regular feature of our school calendar and it’s where students enjoy a variety of outdoor activities away from their class setting throughout the year.
